Cadet-led innovation is one of the defining strengths of the Tarleton Texan Corps of Cadets. Guided by the Tarleton Core Values of Excellence, Integrity, and Respect, our Cadets create, manage, and sustain projects that strengthen the Corps and build real-world leadership skills. From product development to community service, these initiatives reflect the spirit of our motto: Texans Lead the Way.
Below are some of the programs and projects driven entirely by Cadet leadership.
BOOM: The Cadet Energy Drink
Created in partnership with Dublin Bottling Works, BOOM is the official energy drink of the Texan Corps of Cadets—conceptualized, branded, and marketed by Cadets. This project gives students hands-on experience in product design, supply chain collaboration, and business communication. Cadets regularly hold meetings with company leaders, gaining real insight into entrepreneurial processes.
Future Projects: Cadet-Made Hygiene & Food Products
Expanding on the success of previous ventures, Cadets are developing two new products: an all-natural deodorant and Corps-branded jerky. These items are designed, produced, and tested through student-led working groups. The projects teach practical skills such as research, small-batch manufacturing, product safety planning, and marketing in a controlled environment.
American Hat Company Partnership
Cadets wear custom-made hats from the American Hat Company, a tradition sustained and managed through Cadet initiative. Students work directly with company representatives to refine designs, coordinate orders, and maintain a consistent standard for appearance and tradition. This partnership highlights Cadet professionalism and project management experience.
Fenoglio Senior Boots
Our partnership with Fenoglio provides Cadets with distinguished, high-quality Senior Boots. Cadets handle communications, order processes, and custom fitting coordination while preserving the Corps’ heritage. This initiative offers leadership lessons in logistics, brand collaboration, and maintaining uniform standards.
